佢影相好多時收起隻右手, 可能因為出過意外....但有冇人知係一個乜意外?

吾郎既 eagle metal logo 係有自已背後的故事.
就如 Leica, 每一個傳奇品牌都有著自己的堅持和捍衛的理念，不是隨便抄襲，賣個廣告，或靠別人說說或抹黑，就能成功和被肯定。

"Goro had his right finger injured in an accident some 20 years ago. In spite of himself, he even toyed with the idea of shutting up shop at that time, but after a while the once again wanted to make something and had a hammer bound to his injured hand and ended up creating a beautiful gold eagle "metal" or a small metallic disc with a flying eagle engraved at the centre. His mentor, the chief priest of a Buddhist temple, reportedly said when he saw the eagle metal, "silver is yin, gold is yang."thereafter, he made a silver metal with a design of "Yellow Eagle" flying in the Sun worked in gold. Despite, or because of, the injury of his valuable right hand, he knew the yin and yang of life, because he could once again get a taste of joy born of his love of creating things. Thus, the Golden Eagle showed him the way once again this time."


"He bound a hammer to the hand while the wound had not been completely heated and created a gold eagle metal using all his strength and willpower. A photographer, Mr .Toshibumi lke, a friend of his, was so deeply touched by the sight of his  endeavour and devotion he photographed him doing the work. One of them was made into a picture postcard."

火傷，完成唔知佢做過手術，冇左咁多都手術成功，勁!

他右手的傷是來自工作室大火燒傷, and when he was injured, his fingers were amputated... he wanted to close down the shop at that time.

The paragraph bathingmike c-hing sited from the goro's bible was saying how he tried to recover from the injury. "He bounded a hammer to the injured hand"...  and create the gold medal, which is now displayed in the shop. Upon the creation of the medal gave him confidence to re-open his shop.

His fingers were not done by a hammer.

【goro's】の職人、高橋吾郎さんを少し・・・

・1940年代 小学生時代、読売新聞社主催の模型飛行機工作大会で上位入賞

・1950年代半ば 13歳にして横須賀に駐留していたアメリカ軍将校から革の彫刻を教わる。自作のブックバンドやウェスタンベルトを学校に持っていき評判になる

・1955年 高校を2ｶ月で中退。革細工職人に。自作のベルトが上野アメ横でヒット商品に

・1960年代半ば ニューヨークを旅行中、美術館でインディアンが作った銀細工と出会う

・1960年代後半 アリゾナでジェッド氏と出会い、ワークショプに案内され銀細工技術を学ぶ。帰国後、本格的に銀細工の創作活動をスタートさせる

・1979年 4年にわたるサンダンスの儀式を乗り切り、真のインディアンとなる


・1980年代 ゴローズファンが急増し、店には連日開店とともに長蛇の列ができる

・1987年 アトリエで全身の40パーセントが焼ける大火傷を負う。愛犬スノーが大家の奥さんに危機を知らせたことで一命を取り留める。傷か十分に癒えないまま退院しリハビリを始める

・1991年 アメリカへバイク旅行をする




1990年代 バイカーだけでなく若者のファッションシーンでもゴローズ人気が過熱

・2000年代 シルバーや革職人の領域を越え、カリスマとなる

・2009年 新たな金と銀の調和をテーマにした作品づくりに専念

那日同老婆笑談，這樣的一個傳奇人物，在大時代裡浮沉，經歷戰爭，在自己的人生中努力掙扎奮鬥，不見得特別受上天眷顧，豈碼不是一帆風順的人生，最後得到人們尊重敬佩。而接著而來的福氣，下一代正默默的繼承。

I believe Master Goro had not done any operation to recover his fingers. I was quite shocked too when I first saw the photos in Free & Easy. Master Goro was a true legend.

应该是做过手术的，恢复到可以做银器的程度。
高桥先生着实让人敬佩，用生命的热情去创作银器

所以，但凡見到那些抹黑Goros而捧自己的品牌，總會慨歎，Goros是一個用高橋吾郎用自己生命血汗建成的品牌。
