I am looking to add Leica (film) bodies to my collection. Some shops are offering sort of new old stock M6 (serial number seems to say that the cameras were made in the early 90's). As much as I would like to buy unused Leica M6 (if they truely are NOS), I am worried that these cameras have been sitting on the shelf for too long, and that they may need to have a CLA upfront. Alternatively, I can go for newer film M's but those are a bit more expensive.
If you were me, would you take the 20 years old M6's? Of course, whether those are NOS is another story...
