Elinchrom Quadra RX should be a good choice too.

I used to use Profoto D4. I like it a lot, but of course, it is really just for studio only, or you need two assistants. B1 seems to be much easier to handle.

Also, having the battery INSIDE the light and being cordless is a huge advantage.
having cords all over around is very dangerous. i once hit my head to a several kg balanced boom, because i was tripped over by a cord connecting to the D4 pack. this kind of accidents could be fatal.

hi Jason, how are you doing?

I sold most of my gears in this year. Now I m using 5D3  with a few lenses only.

I am much happier than before because I have no longer to search for lenses or systems. And put more time in projects in return.

I did a fashion series + an advertising campaign for a bank in last 2 months, am going to do another fashion project very soon. Life has changed quite a lot on me in last few months, and I can't be much happier. ;)

I still post photos on my flickr, let me share you the link after dinner.

yes. Canon TTL only. Nikon TTL version will be coming in 2014.

you may also use it with Leica M / S too, but without TTL ;)

Wow!! i'm glad to hear that you are turning to professional!! and yes, i can't agree more that the fewer cameras / lenses one owns actually the easier it becomes to produce better images. it just brings more time and focus back to the projects.

your images have always been great! and your portraiture really has a unique style, which i like and actually admire a lot. do share us more of your photos! i would love to see!!
