M6 finder upgrade

Original M6 VF has no coating (I cant tell there is personally when i looked at it and used it), while M7 style V has a quite obvious bluish colour coating.

thanks! that is what i thought too.

i have a 0.58 M6 which has an obvious purple coating, and clearly brighter than my ordinary M6 while looking through the viewfinder. but i'm not sure if the viewfinder has been upgraded.

my MP has bluish coating too.

I have M6, M7 w MP finder, MP
I am lucky and not feel difference

Maybe my eyes are bad,
I can concentrate on shooting, not border viewing

I love my M6 but the flare problem is an eyesore
It does make focusing very difficult in certain situations
Seems that the specialists in USA can do it for about HKD$3K

From what I read from internet, some upgrade options include changing the cover glass to coated one, while some don't

M3 no flare.

I do find flare on my M6 ttl 0.85, but generally ok for focusing, and there is purple coating too

I have sent my M6 to a specialist in USA to upgrade the viewfinder. Anxiously expecting its return!

Years ago, I had my M6 upgraded by Kanto Japan. They said the flare was NOT caused by the coating. First, compared to M3, the light path from the rangefinder window has been changed (I cannot remember exactly what they told me). Second, there is lack of a condenser in the rangefinder system.
