Strangely enough, I admire but rarely buy old lenses at all.

I only keep what I often use, selling all the rest. If I just use the 1.2 at full aperture for a couple of photo shoots, my habit is not to buy it at all.

It takes me a long time to learn to use one lens. My whole reportoire won't be more than a few lenses. I don't see the point of keeping more than I need.

Currently, I am stuck with a few lenses that I couldn't learn to use. I'm not selling them only because the market has plummeted. I hope one day they become collectors' items.

HCB only used 50 and 90. Winograd used mainly 28. At least for me, knowing how to use one lens properly is worth more than 100 lenses I couldn't use.

Great pictures don't come from an arsenal of lenses, be them old or new, but a skill to master one of them. And such skill needs time to acquire.

For me, buying seems to be the only way to experience and experiment all sort of old lenses.
But then, many of us can't help to accumulate more and more lenses in our dry boxes.

Seriously speaking, Noct, 1.2 or 1 or 0.95, is never my cup of tea neither.
