Actually feel great with this ZM15 on 7R II...finally a full release of lens' potential...
邊散 is actually less than what I expected...at least, it is more serious on Biogon 21...

cham78383 ching, thank you for your comments on the lenses. It is great to know that the ZM15 is working well on digital finally. The Contax 21/4.5 is a very nice lens on film, I wish it will work too on digital with tecnical advancement in the near future

7R2 + Nikkor 28/3.5




I brought the camera with me hiking last Sunday. The camera is slightly thicker than the last version. The grip is better for most user, however, may be my palm is small, I kind of miss my old 7R thinner body and grip.

Picture quality is absolutely stunning, you can literally count grasses in all your pictures, 46MP is amazing. But you really need to ask yourself, are you a detail freak, if you are, it's perfect for you, you can smell each and every detail of your photo,

The slient shutter mode is another interest invention. When I switch it on, I didn't even realise I was shooting / did the camera really save my photo, never experience shooting with a complete silent shutter before. If you are shooting in a meseum, concert, library... it will be fantastic.

The new 7R2 is also great for tele lens. With the new 5 axis built-in stabiliser, shooting tele is no longer a problem nor you need to switch to very high shutter speed and trade of photo quality. However, I'm a bit worry I might damage the stabliser when I was running on mountain, because I can hear small sound coming from the movable parts insider the camera, you can hear it when you shake the camera vigorously.  Master Raymond Ho taught me when we were shooting F1, that we have to shut down the stabiliser on all Canon super-tele lens when we are not using the lens, otherwise, during transportation the stabiliser may be damaged. I'm still finding a way to shut down the stabiliser on the new 7R2.


I'm going to my 3rd Desert Race next month, Atacama Crossing 2015, in Chile.
This time, I run for a different charity organisation, Hong Kong Amputees Association, and one of the association members, Mr. Fung, who's 63 years, he lost his left leg 30 years ago, will join me together to the desert race, total self-support and run 7 days 250km.
