Sigma AF 50/1.4 for Canon.... 用過... 對十次十次都唔同位... AF consistency 有問題

sigma 啲鏡支支都要cal 架。QC 做得唔好 (起碼以前係咁）。

不過『十次十次都唔同位』可能直頭係支鏡有問題。

(起碼以前係咁）, 家下都係... 試左5支35/1.4 Art for Canon.... 都唔掂, 最後放棄買左Contax AEG...

有支30/2.8DN Art new version for m43... 好粗糙, 但平

咁又幾灰喎，我仲以為 Art series 會好咗好。

sigma 呢間公司好怪雞，好似啲 foveon files 咁，死人都唔open 出嚟俾 Adobe support，真係搵鬼用咩。啲鏡要cal 就更加唔洗講。

但有時佢又有啲嘢堅係正。吹脹！

I have a S85/1.4, focus is perfect. When out of focus, it was because of the shallow dof. However, I use 5D3 and cross af points only.
Otus is a lens I would like to get, but I need to justify first, it's purely for personal enjoyment. For jobs, I prefer 24-70 mk2 which is razor sharp.

it share the similar price tag of 11663 but MIJ
But it is really sharp in the photos showed in the link

Haha... yes... I didn't have a chance to get hold of the lens yet. But if based on spec, I think the otus is way beyond 11663. In fact, Erwin puts hinted that the Otus surpasses 50 apo summicron.

But it is MIJ

Yes .... I really want to know what's the comparison of it and Nikon's new 58 1.4.

My long rest D3s can be awaken for either one ?!

Nikon one is very well corrected on Chromatic aberration, just the sharpness on down side...

distortion on standard FL is minor.. just 0.2 to 0.5%

Otus is a milestone. Too bad only available in Canon and Nikon mount

yes ar. for chromatic aberration, the nikon is even better!
taking the fact that the nikon is only 1/3 of Otus price. I think it is fair.

actually i have a frd got the nikon already. once i can get hold of a copy of otus. maybe i can do some test to compare the two
