75mm on 135 is one of my most often-used focal lengths, but from what I know a lot a lot of people don't at all prefer the 75mm frame. You really have to try it out and see how you find it yourself.
75/2AA is a very good modern asph lens. Extremely high resolution edge-to-edge. APO, and therefore no color edges when used contra jour. Nice short focus throw. Very creamy bokeh, like a felt pen/color marker. You can get it to flare easily when you have strong light at an oblique angle. The last point was deliberate by Peter Karbe's design, as obviously he had some "issues" with Walter Mandler, who designed 75/1.4 which doesn't flare and had a very different character.
For starters, have you considered trying out 75/2.5? It's low-priced (non-asph) but quite surprisingly good! See how you like the 75mm frame on 135, and then you move on maybe?

Just wondering whether any c-hing has tried Voigtlander 75/1.8 and got some pics to share?
