15. Dinner at the onsen hotel
My food photos were really no good. Coming to think of it, I really should have attended the Leica food photo workshop earlier just to learn the basics. This was perhaps one of the nicest meal I have ever had, except I had dinner twice at the hotel (with different menus)!
This 10-course meal consisted of: steamed egg, tofu, grilled fish, stewed fish head, sashimi, Kobe beef salad, eel hotpot, rice with pickles, fruits, and green tea. I'm a big eater but even I find it too much to finish!
I learned a good lesson with the last photo. Even when using extremely shallow depth of view, I should pay as much attention to what was in the background as if I were using hyperfocal. Unwanted objects ruin a photo even when blurred!
