Purple fringing is a fact of life with Sony a7(r) if used with M mount lenses of focal length of 35mm and below. I guess this is a speciality issue with the Sony FF sensor. How about using 50mm or above instead?

I support adjustments, the factory jpg setting is not bad but never good either. I normally adjust to the level I remember seeing the scene. The "direct out" files seldom look like things I've seen.

actually I haven't used 35 on it yet, the fringing appears at the edge of something against a bright background, i seem to be able to remove it using the fringing eye droplet
