Well, if I am not wrong, the footprint of 7-feet & 5-feet is the same as 4-feet to which I am listening, save that it is respectively 3 feet and 1 foot taller.

Just wondering if it is a must to drive the 5-feet by the Performance. Or to put it simple, do you think it is possible to drive the 5-feet by 2 sets of Encore poweramp in bridge-mode.

I haven't tried nor seen pushing 5 feet other than by Performance (or equivalent BIG power amps).
Any CHIngs could help here???

HaHa, me too.  But the size of the Performance is really a headache to me while duet 350 is not my cup of tea.

Perhaps you shoudl consider other choices rather than 5' or 7'?... e.g. Wilson, Magico... etc
As there are so many speaker units in both 5' and 7' you must ensure every single one of them are in perfect working order or else it will become unbalance and big headache to locate the sonic fault later on.
my 2 cents...

I like Wison's MAXX and Alexandria but they are just too expensive for me. I read a few review on Magico but yet have the chance to have an audition. One thing  I noted is that Magico seems to use alloy to reinforce the structure of the speaker which I am not impressed (please feel free to correct me if I am wrong). To me, speaker is a musical instrument, like cello and violin, and a good pair of speaker is indeed a piece of art.The use of metallic structure is merely an easy way to get around the difficulties associated with the design / manufacturing of accoustic speakers.  Perhaps I am an old-fashioned guy and hence have such conservative view on HiFi.

Thats why I am trying to push Goldmund K1 + K2 with Cello.... a pair of aluminium case speakers.
Will share my findings once I have my Cello toys back and set up

K1 + K2 with Cello look cool but I suspect the sound may be too analytical.  I once have a chance to listen to Cello with MBL 101 speakers. To my surprise, they match very very well !

I have only listend to GM set to push K1 K2 and have no idea how it sounds when push by Cello... could only guess...
But I certainly like the looks of the K1 K2 in my living room a lot.
Will share with you my findings after I installed and boiled the set of toys.

I had the honor to have an audition with Master Kwong's Cello set with MAXX before he changed speakers.
Its a very very good experience giving me a road path to follow...
