Shot the sky at small aperture. If coating is coming out, the image should show something like dust in the sensor but a lots more...at least in my case.
在光線可以平均照射的地方，對住張A4白紙，近近地影，不用什麼對焦，用f/16或以上，記得+1.5EV先至唔會變中灰色，也不至太白。在電腦打開圖檔。檢視一下。淨下來就是怎樣分辨塵埃和coating peeling的不同處。這點就難在文字中說明。當足夠大時，看似氣泡、也似顯微鏡下的amoeba.

Due to our previous external supplier not being able to supply us with sensors we have had to source sensors from a new external supplier. Because of technical and production issues this supplier has not been able to supply us with sufficient quantities of sensors which meet Leica’s strict specifications. We are working intensively with our external supplier to have these issues rectified as soon as possible so production of first quality sensors arrive in sufficient quantities to satisfy all our backorders.

out of parts for M9 so soon?
thinking back, signs of trouble shown sometime ago when long queues developed. we simply shouldn't believe Leica M digital can be kept alive for a longer time than others because it is more expensive.
I have a spot exactly like this that shows up at f8 or smaller aperture. luckily it is not long.fullsize crop, i guess it does look like sensor peeling? I tried wet cleaning the sensor and it didn't get rid of it but didn't worsen it as well.

It actually doesn't look like one, it usually looks like a donut shape spot. If the coating is coming out, you should see a lot more. Use smallest aperture and take a picture of the sky, you should be able to tell.
