Rise and fall

Working on a small island off the coast of South Carolina, my intention making these images was not about depicting the landscape in a typical way, and not about being at the right place at the right time. It was about creating captivating images from a place that I love and about being able to let emotion and passion guide me. It was about forgetting about time.
These are expressive images focusing on the tone, texture, and feeling of tranquility I experience when on this island. As with most of my work, I strive to create contours, lines, and space with a balance that will lure the viewer in.
Ultimately, it's all about being free.
