To me it's a very abstract thing sometimes but I guess if one's shooting style (or should I say shooting genre) is more focused on where the noct f1 lacks compared to the 50 asph then the noct would be less ideal for their purpose. For example, from my limited experience, the 50 asph seems to yield better sharpness when stopped down compared to the noct. Also, if one shoots in the 0.7m ~ 1m range alot then the noct might not suit their shooting style as they will have a pain getting used to shooting at least 1m away. Then there is also the physical size difference between them, if I had to go with just 1 body and 1 lens for a super long trip where there are many unknowns, I might opt for the 50 asph rather than the noct.
Another point I want to raise is which lens is more practical. One also needs to keep in mind the long focus throw of the noctilux which might not be the most ideal tool for tracking subjects. I think I'm decent in focusing an RF and even I find tracking focus with a noctilux is rather tedious.
Then again, I'm rather new to RF and M, so I think other better chings should chime in as well.
