Just tried a7 and a7r (and ZA 35/2.8 and a Sony zoom) at Sony showroom in CWB. Don't enjoy the work flow at all! I don't think I'll buy either.

It was sooooooooo silly of me at one stage to think about selling my M bodies and to replace them with these dud cameras!!!!!  Stupidity as stupid goes!

"i don't really like the EVF experience."  x 2, my biggest hurdle to use mirroless cams, otherwise would have bought OM-D, A7 etc.

Tried A7/A7r at Sony showroom cwb. Staff said A7r system requires a "mechanical" shutter and hence the loud noise. Don't know what that means. Canon/Nikon/Sony have FF dslr for years and there is no such loud shutter noise.
A7 shutter noise seems slightly better but still a margin off all Canon/Nikon FF dslr.
The good things about Sony are the price and also the focusing patch can be used/move around on the whole screen. Sorry to complaint, but I can't understand why Leica M240 live view only makes the focusing patch at the centre. After focus and recompose, the focus will definitely be off. Or is there a way to move the M240 live view focusing patch that I am not aware off?

I finally tested the camera on hand. I'm impressed. Very easy to focus with Leica lenses. The zoom in / focus feature is neat, practical, and convenient.
Shutter noise is on the loud side. Surely not as light and quiet as Leica's, but similar to other DSLR. I find it acceptable.
Handling is good. Typical Japanese camera's sense of touch. No surprise for the camera body. No disappointment either.

The files are good. Nothing as magical as digital back's or foveon's files. But it surely serves the purpose. Color is accurate and factual. I will prefer this over M9.

I think I will get A7r, which has better corner performance with tighter microlenses arrangement. But either one will be a good choice

I tried 35mm. as shown by the samples on the internet. I think wider than 35mm can be risky. it also depends on lens design. I think as a rule of thumb. the closer the rear element to sensor, the more problematic it will be. 來自: iPhone客戶端
