For seious collector, not all camera need to be workable to be collectible, it can be a prototype, it can be a rare parts etc.
Sometime collectibility is = how rare it is and how rare chance that a unopen camera still keep in its unopen state after so many years.. This M5 belongs to the later parts.
Many collectors have hundreds of camera and they don't need them all to be funcionable. To some collection, a CLA is a sin as they want to keep it as is stage... if it dry up, that it also reflect the history of the particular camera.
You buy a antique bowl doesn't mean you have to put rice and eat with it to appreciate it. |
