The all-new Alfa Giulia is based on the so-called Giorgio platform, and will be available in versions with rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive as an option. At the promotion was presented the strongest model Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde (QV), powered by a Ferrari-derived 3.0-liter V6 with 510 hp (for comparison BMW M3 has 431hp), which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
Alfa Romeo for now, has not announced a lot of details, but noted that the ratio weight / strength is 2.99 kg per 1 hp and the and that the ideal 50/50 weight distribution. All of this means that the weight Giulia QV less around 1530 kg. Despite the great power, Alfa Romeo stated that the engine is surprisingly economical (concrete details are not mentioned), and that the car is characterized by an outstanding drag coefficient and has the longest wheelbase in the class.
The top of the range model Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde features an aggressive front end with slender headlights, a ventilated hood and front fender vents, aerodynamic side skirts, prominent character lines and attractive alloy wheels. The car also has a trunk-mounted spoiler, a rear diffuser and a four-tailpipe exhaust system, torque vectoring system as well as a number of aluminum components. Besides the aforementioned V6 engine, the offer will include and other units. According to some earlier announcements, it will be a new 2.0 – liter, four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline and a 3.0-liter V6 and 2.2-liter diesel engines.
