Edge and corner issues of Leica lenses on A7 series are mainly caused by the thickness of glass layer on the sensor. We now have lots of information out there to know what is going on. I don't have the A7rII yet... still waiting for some test results on a modified A7rII sensor to decide. If interested, Jason ching's post is a good starting point:
