I am using a Nikon-to-SA mount and an M42-to-SA mount for mounting my non-Sigma lenses to the SA bodies.
Some people convert the Sigma SA mount to the Canon one to revitalize their Canon-mount lenses. I have no Canon-mount lenses with me. I have no comments but if I did have, I would not do that because all the SA mount functionalities will be lost.
As a matter of fact, Sigma lenses are pretty good lenses as well. Using them, you can obtain images that are sparkling in ensemble as the algorithm in the Sigma bodies are meticulously tailored for the SA lenses.
You can mount, for example, Rollei, C/Y, Nikon, Leica and M42 lenses on Sigma bodies but the thing is at present, only the M42 adapters are available; you can get the M42 mount from forum members in DCfever.
In the past, there were a Japanese and a British, who made SA-compatibile adapters for the Nikon and M42 lenses. They are no longing providing such a service. A pity. Anyway, if SD Q and HQ can sell well, maybe they will take the oppotunoty to earn some easy and fast money. |
