Is there any difference in quality between pictures from these two cameras?

set one looks to me with more fine details and contrast recorded, also more 3d, may be a newer lens?

Set one uses 75/22AA

Set two uses 50/1.4A

Yes you are right

In fact
I borrow a Leica flash light from Rayyen c hing on Friday ...
but somehow I could not learn to make the expposure right with it
So I just gave up the idea of using a flash light

Yes you are right

In fact

I would suggest to use this combo, sekonic flash master L-358 + canon 580EXII @manual mode
(sorry for side tracked the subject)

I guess the photographer thought the viewfinder = focusing
