they were shop developed, I remember they said they use rodinal. And it looks good to me. I searched some forum before, they said you do need to use rodinal or adonal developer to get the best result. But thats what I read online. I havent try it myself. I am just a newbie, hope other ching can give you a better answer

that's my shop... we use Rodinal to develop Bergger 400, especially the old version one. that is so so so cool and brilliant result
